On the 19th of May, we were glued to our screens in anticipation of seeing Princess Charlotte and Prince George’s weddings outfits at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s fairytale wedding. It was such a beautiful ceremony and the young bridal party looked adorable in their classic ensemble.

Each of the six bridesmaids outfits was designed by Clare Waight Keller, who also designed Meghan’s wedding dress in the Givenchy Haute Couture Atelier in Paris. The children’s outfits embodied true beauty in simplistic and timeless elegance, much like Meghan’s beautiful wedding dress.

The Panache Kids team are big fans of the royals and we couldn’t help but admire their stylish and elegant attire, expertly chosen for one of the biggest events of the year!  Inspired by Prince Harry and Princess Meghan’s royal’s fairytale wedding, we have selected our most regal clothing and footwear items available on our website, suitable for your very own royal occasion.

What did Princess Charlotte wear?

Meghan had six graceful bridesmaids to form her bridal party, which included: 3-year-old Princess Charlotte; 3-year-old Florence van Cutsem; 6-year-old Remi Litt; 7-year-old Rylan Litt; 4-year-old Ivy Mulroney and 2-year-old Zalie Warren.

The bridal party were dressed head to toe in an A-line, Givenchy white ivory, high-waisted and short puff sleeve dress, finished with a double silk ribbon tied at the back. The dresses were complemented by classic white leather, Mary Jane toddler shoes, designed by Aquazurra. The Mary Janes added to the effortless and delicate outfits, keeping the young bridesmaids comfortable and supported throughout the ceremony.

Each bridesmaid’s outfit was given the finishing touch with an elegant flower crown designed by florist Philippa Craddock, which was selected by Prince Harry to go with his brides’ bouquet of flowers.

Our favourite moment was when Princess Charlotte was caught cheekily sticking her tongue out to the guests as the bridal party arrived at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle!

What did Prince George wear?

Harry’s charming young page boys were: 4-year-old Prince George; 6-year-old Jasper Dyer; and 7-year-olds Brian and John Mulroney. The page boys wore a traditional children’s version of the Blues and Royals frockcoat, worn by the groom himself, Prince Harry. Prince George especially looked just like his dad in his wedding outfit, standing side-by-side as they left the chapel.

Carmen Taberner

Carmen Taberner designs offer a classic pea-collar neckline, often associated with the traditional royal style. The dress is finished with a micro bronze sequin collar with a cream lace edge. This outfit is easy to wear for young children and the knitted style reminds us of Princess Charlotte’s hand-knitted cardigan, which she wore on her first birthday.

Noma Fernandez

Noma Fernandez styles a modest, delicate white plumetti cotton dress with a full and loose fitting body, with ruffle hem and handmade lace panel. The ¾ length sleeves offer the child adequate coverage and will keep them comfortable throughout spring and summer. This out is also easy to layer up with tights in the cooler seasons.

Piccola Speranza

Similar to the a-line shape of the royal’s bridal party dresses, Piccola Speranza offers a stunning silver embroidered rose dress, embellished with a pretty ivory grosgrain waistband and finished with silvery lace trim and pearl decoration. This dress is lined with a soft cotton petticoat which has a stiff tulle ruffle to keep the dress full, just like a real princess dress.

The royal wedding is not the first time we have spotted Prince George and Princess Charlotte dressed in classic Mary Jane shoes.
